Perry grew up playing with the Peterborough Minor Petes AAA organization of the OMHA’s Eastern AAA League. In 2001, Perry led his Petes to an exceptional victory in the inaugural OHL Cup Batman AAA Championship, which was held in Peterborough. Perry was selected in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. 


In the season 2003-04, Perry became the first knight to reach 100 points in the season. Perry made his debut with the Ducks in the season 2005-06. The season 2008-09 was a break-out year for Perry.


n 2010-11, Perry led the NHL with 50 goals and won the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy. Also the following year 2010-11, he won the Hart Memorial Trophy. Early in the season 2011-12, Perry struggled hard with his teammates, the year was considered an Off-year for him and his teammates.


 In the season 2012-13, Perry and the teammates got off to a much better start than the previous season.
