                  Getting started was the hardest step for me to take at the beginning of my journey. I didn’t know where to start or how to simplify things because just looking at how much stuff I had was overwhelming in itself. 


              However as I’ve continued to build momentum in my life and on my journey, I’ve learned a few things along the way. The main thing is that this journey is truly a lifestyle shift. 


              It takes a different way of thinking and doing to really simplify things for the better. So today I want to share 15 simple ways that you can use to simplify your life starting right now. 


1: set daily and monthly goals. 


              Give yourself something to work towards every day and every month so you’re not running around without a solid direction in life. 


              If you’re finding yourself feeling stagnant or lost or following instead of leading then that's a good sign that you don’t have any goals set. 


              You know a vision or plan for what you want to achieve in life and how you’re actually going to get there. 


2: getting your emotions and mentality in check. 


              Sometimes we forget that our hearts and mind play a significant role in the overall quality of our life. If these two areas aren’t solid then living simply will be a very difficult task. 


3: follow a morning routine. 


              See I strongly believe that how you wake up affects your overall day. So having a simple and healthy routine not only make your mornings easier but it helps you get off to a good start more often. 


4: getting active and working out. 


              Working out, walking, running, yoga. Just doing an activity is a great way to get moving and burn calories. 


              But it’s also a good way to stimulate productivity and burn stress. See the less stress you have in life the simpler things are going be. And the simpler your life is, the more you'll actually get done.

              Sometimes we think that we have to spend money to truly enjoy life. However, with a little creativity, you can easily create an environment that brings you happiness and joy. 


9: separate yourself from toxic friendships and relationships. 


              Now I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that you're an average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. 


              So if you want your life to be simple then don't surround yourself with people that suck the life, energy, and simplicity out of your life. 


10: declutter your digital space. 


              Often we think of simplifying as cleaning our physical space and we forget about all the clutter we have digitally. 


              Emails, hard drives, phones, photos, all of it. We have to clear this area of our life as well to ensure that we have balance across the board. 


11: eat healthy and meal prep. 


              What we feed our bodies, then fuels our life. So if the quality of the food we cook and eat is high then the quality of our life will follow. 


              So make healthy choices with the food you choose to eat, but also meal prep at the beginning of the week so it's one less thing you have to worry about throughout the rest of the week.


12: be present. 


              Instead of worrying yourself about all of the "what if’s" in life, slow down, breathe and learn to be aware of what’s going on around you and within you. 


13: limit your time on apps and social media. 


              If you don’t have the self-discipline to not go on it, then deactivate the account for a short period of time. 


              Sometimes taking a short mental break from the online world does a lot for your mental health. 


14: slowing down. 


              Stop thinking that everything in life is araced. It's not. However, if you want to burnout, constantly deal with stress, and still feel like you're never making any progress, then go for it. 


              But I'm telling you, slowing down and being intentional with your actions is much more sustainable than rushing through life. 


15 learning what “enough” is.


              Our society today is all about getting more. It’s a message we see advertised everywhere. You know the more you have, the happier you'll be.
